They took Jesus! They came at night and arrested him. I saw it all. They beat him. They pulled at his beard. They whipped him. Anything they could do in order to brutalize and humiliate him, they did it. After he was arrested they took him before Pilate. Pilate kept asking Jesus if he was a king or if he was the king of the Jews. Jesus answered him by saying that he is in fact a king, and that it was for that reason that he had come into the world.
After speaking with Jesus, Pilate said that he did not see any charges against Jesus and he was willing to let him go. I thought it was over then. I thought the horror would end, but then all of the people asked for Barabbas to be released instead. I could not believe it. Neither could Pilate, but what could he do?...
They killed him! They killed Jesus! They paraded him through the streets so everyone could see what they had done to him. Then, when they got to the hill they had picked, they nailed him to the cross they had been making him carry until he had been too weak to carry it any longer. They hung him up like a decoration and just left him up their to suffer for hours as people mocked him and watched him in his weakness from down below. I saw some men gambling for his clothing. It was disgusting. After awhile, I saw Jesus speaking to the thief that was on the cross beside him. The there was nothing until Jesus finally yelled out, “It is finished” and died. They stabbed his dead body with a spear then took him down to be placed in a tomb. That is the way they have killed the great man I have been following. What a great way to start the weekend. I have not started a weekend like this, since the day I woke up dead…
He is alive! You will not believe it. I am still having a hard time believing it, and I have been dead before. I know what it is like to be dead then come alive. Apparently some of the women went to the tomb and found it empty. That is the only information I had heard for awhile so I went to visit the disciples to see what was going on. Not long after I got there, Jesus himself showed up!
