The Passover - Johnny

I continued following Jesus for quite sometime. I have seen many amazing things and have enjoyed every minute of it. We had traveled to the city of Jerusalem to celebrate the passover feast, also known as the feast of unleavened bread. On the first day of the feast, the same day that the passover lamb was slaughtered, Jesus' disciples asked where they should go to celebrate. Jesus answered them by sending two of them to meet a man who was expecting them. He told them to follow the man back to his home and then prepare the feast for the rest of them. I was one of the last people who was still following Jesus aside from the twelve apostles. I asked Jesus for permission to go with Peter and John, which he happily agreed to. Immediately the three of us headed of to find the man. It was not very difficult to find him because just as Jesus had told us, he was carrying a pitcher of water. Peter said to him, just as Jesus told him, 'The teacher says, "Where is the guest room in which I may eat the passover with my disciples?'" Then the man happily took us back to his home and led us to a beautiful guest room where we were to prepare the meal. This was the first time I had ever prepared the passover. Whenever my father and I celebrated this holiday he would take care of everything while I took care of his normal work. Peter and John agreed that they would prepare the lamb as long as I took care of everything else which I gladly agreed to. There were many dishes I had to prepare, some of which were not all that easy to make. By the time we had finished our cooking and set the table, the meal looked delicious and fit for a king. A little while later Jesus and the others arrived. I began to sit down but Jesus kindly asked if I would stand aside because the Father's will was for them to dine alone. They began eating and conversing with one another until Jesus began to speak. He told them that he was well aware that one of them would betray him and turn him over to be killed. This startled all of the disciples greatly and they began asking Jesus who it was. Jesus disregarded these questions. Then Jesus took the bread, broke it and prayed. He gave it to his disciples saying it was his body. Then he grasped his wine glass, prayed, had them all take a sip from it. He said it was his blood which was soon to be shed. This whole event was very startling to me and I think all who witnessed it but I hope to see its purpose soon.
