Mary of Nain-John 6

We proceeded on our passage through Judea. We went over the Sea of Galilee. A large number of people followed Him because of what they saw Jesus do. That was the largest group of people I have ever seen. Jesus went up on a mountain and sat with his disciples. I remember that Passover was close by. Jesus was such a good man; He was concerned about feeding all of those people. Andrew pointed out that a young man had five loaves of bread and two fish. I did not know where He was going with it, but He asked for the bread and fish he spoke of and requested that all the people be seated. There were about five-thousand people there! Jesus prayed a blessing over the food and gave thanks and distributed it among the people, He gave them as much as they wanted…I expected it to run out almost immediately, but oddly enough, the food did not diminish. Out of five loaves of bread and two fish, Jesus fed a multitude of men, women and children to where all of them were full and they had leftovers! Jesus instructed the disciples to gather what was left so that it was not put to waste. There were twelve baskets full of the bread. Again, our Lord had preformed a miracle; the people were amazed and began to say “Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world” (vs 14). The people came to force Him into being their king, so He retreated to a mountain by Himself. What an honorable and humble man.
Once the evening came, the disciples went to the lake. The other women and I went to the town to distribute the food from earlier to the poor. Once we were done, we waited by the shore for the Messiah. The disciples set sail for Capernum, but Jesus was not with them yet and it was dark. It was really windy that day and the waters became rough. I saw the figure of a man in the distance walking toward the boat. I thought it was an illusion or a dream because the disciples had to have been three miles out. I did now know what was happening, but I saw the figure enter the boat. Once we met at the other side of the lake, Jesus was with them, but there was only one boat. I later learned that it was not an illusion, but Jesus actually walked on water, to meet the disciples on the lake. After we had left, the people came in search of the Lord because they too learned that He walked on water.
